This
was my 3rd visit to the Louvre. Tom and I came here in the winter
of 2002 and Randy and I visited the Louvre in the Spring
of 2002. When I first visited the palace I hated the glass pyramid,
but I've grown to like it. One of the great successes of Paris is the
ability to not stagnate. Cities such as Venice have become museums in
themselves, where nothing changes and the city is locked into a bygone
era. In Paris you will often find modern art in old churches and buildings.
At first it seems a bit out of place, this vital part of keeping the arts
alive while retaining the great works of the past.
